Your City Manager, Ed Meza
Edward Meza was born in Alice, Texas and raised in Corpus Christi. He received his BS in Wildlife and Fisheries Department with a minor in Museum Studies from Texas A & M University in College Station. His first position was Executive Director of Grayson County Historical Museum in Sherman. From there he was Curator of Education and Programs for the African American Museum in Dallas, then Executive Director of the Webb County Historical Foundation; Director of Historical Preservation for the City of Port Isabel, then City Manager for Port Isabel. He served as Downtown Director for Downtown Harlingen which is part of the Texas Historical Commission’s Main Street Program. He now serves as City Manager to the Town of Laguna Vista.
He has also served on the Texas Museum Association, North Texas Museum Association, and had served as a member of the Grayson, Dallas, Webb and Cameron County Historical Commission. He now serves on the Cameron County Historical Commission as well as a board member of the Texas Tropical Trail Region.
His pastimes are painting, gardening, walking, and collecting.

Your City Secretary, Ana Hernandez
The City Secretary is appointed by the Town Council and holds office until removed by the Town Council
The regular meetings of the Laguna Vista Town Council is held on the 2nd Tuesdays of the month at 6:00 p.m. in Town Hall, located at 122 Fernandez, Laguna Vista, Texas.
The City Secretary attends every meeting of the Town Council and keeps accurate minutes of the proceedings thereof on a book to be provided for that purpose and engrosses and enrolls all laws, resolutions, and ordinances adopted by the Town Council, keeps the corporate seal, takes charge of and preserves all books records, papers, documents and files of the Council, thereby serving as the Town's Records Management Officer; administers oaths, countersigns and attests contracts, and other legal instruments when executed by the authorized officers of the Town; serves as the election official for all Town elections.
The City Secretary also serves as the recording secretary for the following boards and committees: (on the following committees can we link to the pages we have built for them, I will update them later but least they can click to go to the board for now)

Community Development Corporation (CDC)
All Public Information Requests are submitted to the City Secretary and processed according to the requirements of the Texas Public Information Act.
Proclamations and awards of special recognition to citizens/individuals/dignitaries are processed and prepared through the City Secretary's office.
